A while back, I wrote about some workarounds to a problem in how the ASP.NET Menu server control renders in IE.
Wally McClure pointed me to a blog entry by Bertrand Le Roy noting the availability of a hotfix for this issue. Note that the hotfix links don’t specifically mention the asp:menu issue, but Bertrand assures us the fix is in there.

Since I’ve run into this issue myself, I thought I’d share a blog post that offers several possible workarounds while the ASP.NET team is looking at the issue: If you are using the ASP.NET Menu control, you might encounter under certain circumstances an issue where the menu appears as a white box in IE8 Standards Mode.
