Poor programming makes the World Series painful...

Tickets for the World Series Games 3, 4 and 5 at Coors Field will go onsale to the general public at 10 a.m. Mountain time on October 22nd.

Please wait for the server to become available. The site is experiencing heavy loads at this time.

To improve your ticket-buying experience and to make it as pleasant as possible, this site permits entry to a limited number of patrons at a time.

This page will refresh when the countdown timer below reaches zero. When this happens, the system will automatically try to access the site again.

If this page refreshes too many times, you may want to try again later. Thank you for your patience.

The server at pleasehold.evenue.net is taking too long to respond.

I am not a huge baseball fan. However, I work with several people who are fans. I have watched as they have tried to get in and buy tickets for games 3, 4 & 5. Well, the above is one of two possible outcomes on this "site that will handle the load". The other option is a Connection Timed Out message which throws a person OUT of the loop.  SO many ways to technically solve this issue!  So many things just screwed up.

I've watched several computers bang away at this site.  Channel 9 News has already reported people successfully buying tickets.  I see a ton of unhappy fans and a small handful of successful, tech-savvy, scalpers.

About Keith Barrows

I've been in computing since 1975. I started on an old PDP-8J with 3k of memory and 2 teletypes. I learned BASIC and Octal based assembly. I later moved into CPM, TR-DOS, Apple and finally into PC-DOS, Dr DOS and MS-DOS. I've been a beta tester for over a decade, got into web applications as a means to handle B2B requirements and have specialized in data movement between applications and businesses since. I have been a MVP, ASP Elite and was selected by Microsoft as one of the original 15 board members for ASPInsiders.
