Self Talk

When I played sports there was a lot of "talking smack" going on before and during the game.  I was always perplexed why some people would do that.  Well, after living 45+ years I am finally figuring it out.  It's not talking smack at all.  It is something called self talk.  That internal drive to be the best is what drives it.  And I found out you really need to know 3 things to get into the game.
  1. Who you are
  2. What you are in
  3. Where you are going
This applies not only to sports, at all levels, but to life and living as well.  I am also learning how to apply it to business, friendships and everything else I do in life.  For instance, in my business:
  1. Who are you
    • I am a man that stands on principle
    • I uplift and empower people
    • I'm standing by the promise I gave my wife
    • I am an example to my kids
    • I'm not doing it because I like it or it's sexy.  I am doing it because it is right.  Not because it's easier.  Because it is right!
    • I would be negligent if I did not talk to these people
    • I am their answer
    • Nobody steps on my dreams
  2. What are you in
    • I am in the best business in the world with the top leadership in the world
    • This group creates multi-millionaires
    • This system teaches me to be a better man/father/husband
    • I'm in the number one compensation package, in a vehicle that allows me to be free
  3. Where you are going
    • No test - no testimony
    • I'm going to prove the negative people wrong (let them feed you)
    • I'm going to get respect from my peers
    • I'm going to be free
I have a ways to go.  But you know what?  *I* know I'll make it.  How about you?
