Wish me luck. I've not been on a bicycle over most of the last 25 years. This coming August I'll be doing my first 50k bike ride - for the cure. As most of you already know, my son (Kyle) was diagnosed as a Type 1 Diabetic 2 months ago. Since then it's been a journey in educating self and family. I have been so suprised by how little understood this disease really is. I've even had someone ask if their kid can catch it if Kyle spends the night.
But I digress. The Tour de Cure is an annual ride here in the Colorado area. I am putting together a team of riders, my wife and son to start, and will be soliciting support later on. Right now, our goal is to raise $500.00 or more. Once I get the team registered, there will be a web site that I will link to that you can support us directly.
