So, if you haven't ever heard of them and can go to check the show - and of course, you like melodic metal music - , do it. :-) You won't regret that. Sonata Arctica is perhaps one of the best Finnish bands ever.
Amorphis is a Finnish band playing melodic metal, for those of you who don't know it, one of my favorites. They play kind of death metal too (some grunts here and there) however I don't count that since it's 99% melodic. :-) They find lyrics to their songs from Finnish Kalevala, the national epic.
They are releasing new record "Silent Waters" in August. In case you know other Finnish bands / high quality of Finnish metal music, you know, that this is gonna be great, and I assure, it is. The single from Silent Waters is great. Their previous record, Eclipse was great too.
